Hunting Hunter

A series of rape-murders causes Hunter Shaw—former cop, now earning a living chasing bail-breaking escapees—to think that an major crime kingpin is doing this to lure him into a trap and take revenge on Hunter for the killing of his brother. Hunter, unwilling to be the cause of yet more deaths, decides to take the bait and manages to save the next victim from a grim fate.

However, Mary Bishop is not a potential victim at all. She’s the lure; the bait in the trap. Her reward for reeling Hunter in: a quarter of a million dollars.

After Hunter saves Mary, the two quickly grow close. But is this real, or is she just playing him along; ultimately luring him to an uninhabited island for a twisted murderous game, pretending to be a Survivor-style reality TV show, but just a setting for the man hunting Hunter on a killing spree among the participants and leaving Hunter for the grand finale?

NOTE: This is a novelized version of what started as a screenplay. Its structure therefore is somewhat unusual.
